Al Haleef Welfare Trust has so far helped hundreds of girls from the poor families to get married with honour and dignity. The Trust provides the basic items required for the simple Nikah and the list of such items is provided by the bride herself.  She herself chooses the required items from the showrooms so that her choice is taken care of. While in most of the cases, the marriage is fixed by the families, the Trust also helps in finding an eligible match for girls from its available data of marriageable boys. Our effort is to keep the Nikah simple and within the diameters of Sunnah. No extravagance and unnecessary expenses are allowed. Apart from helping poor girls get married, Al Haleef is also helping widows to get re-married. Also help is provided in finding a job/work for such widows so that they are self-reliant. The Trust also helps in skill development of such sisters so that they can support themselves and their children, if any.

During our survey, it has been found that not only girls, but a large number of men are also not married because of various factors like them being daily wagers, caste issues, low education, financial issues, age difference, jobs in private sector etc. In some cases same issues also resulted in divorce after marriage. We at AL Haleef have maintained a data of such persons and are also helping them find an appropriate match. AHWT is also helping in the remarriage of the divorcees be that men or women. The menace of mediators is also being done away with because the poor families are not able to meet the ever increasing demands of these go betweens who charge anything between Rs 30,000 – 50,000.

AHWT makes sure that the Nikah arranged by it is kept simple and strictly according to Sunnah. With the help of religious scholars associated with the organization, the extravagance on marriages has been brought down drastically. 

AHWT is also trying to address the growing menace of divorces among married couple. Counseling sessions are held for the couples to iron out the differences and every effort is made to reunite the family and ensure a strong bond between the families. Alhamdulillah many couples have been reunited the families saved.
