AHWT is running a cutting and stitching training center in Nawab Bazar area of the old Srinagar city where educated and uneducated girls are trained. So far scores of girls have been trained here. Special emphasis is being given on providing such training to widows so that they become self reliant. Response of the girls from the surrounding areas has been overwhelming and many trained girls have set up their own boutiques. Efforts are being made to help poor girls and widows set up their own units. During such sessions special classes are held to provide religious education to the girls. The classes are conducted by the top religious scholars of the Kashmir valley.

AHWT is also helping young unemployed youth acquire technical skills which can help them earn their livelihood. Some of boys have been trained in mobile repairing, Xerox machines repairing and similar other trades. They have successfully set up their units and earning their livelihood.
